Best S.S Rajamouli Movies
10. Simhadri(2003)

IMDb Rating- 7.3
The second movie from SS Rajamouli, Simhadri starring Jr. Ntr, Bhumika Chawla, and Ankitha in the lead roles revolves around the main character, who is adopted by a family, who raises him as one of their child and the patriarch’s granddaughter falls in love with him. But he leaves her to be with a mentally unstable girl. Simhadri is all about the emotional bond between a brother and a sister. The film is well-made with impressive cinematography and a strong soundtrack. Jr. NTR delivers a powerful performance as Simhadri, showcasing his skills as an action hero and emoting well in the dramatic scenes. Bhumika Chawla and Ankitha also deliver solid performances as the female leads.
9. Sye(2004)

IMDb Rating- 7.4
Sye is a 2004 release romantic movie. Two rival student groups led by Prithvi(Nithin) and Shashank band together to fight a common enemy, a local mafia. What follows is a thrilling rugby match that will decide the fate of their college and the land on which it sits. There are a few problematic things with this film but it’s difficult to fully criticize those scenes because it was released in 2004 or maybe I’m just being biased. This might’ve not been the message S.S. Rajamouli might’ve been trying to send out but I really appreciate the theme of students taking direct action toward change, it’s uplifting and motivating.
8. Maryada Ramanna(2010)

IMDb Rating- 7.4
Maryada Ramanna is a 2010 Telugu comedy thriller film. Starring Sunil and Saloni Aswani in lead roles. the film is inspired by Buster Keaton’s 1923 film, “Our Hospitality”. This is the second film for Sunil as a hero. This is an outstanding movie. We don’t think of a comedian as a hero. But Rajamouli proved that anyone can be a hero. The film opened to favorable reviews from critics and turned out to become a super hit.
7. Chatrapathi(2005)

IMDb Rating- 7.6
Chatrapathi is a Telugu-language action film. The film stars, Prabhas, Shriya Saran, Bhanupriya, and Pradeep Rawat. The story of the film features Chhatrapati Sivaji who beats the tyranny of a local rowdy and comes together with his long-gone mother and brother.
Prabhas is perfect as the larger-than-life hero, with the right screen presence and physique. His innocent expression and smile add softness and an urge to cheer him on. But the film contains some incredible action moments, (usually involving Prabhas doing wrestling moves on sharks and gangsters). While the end of the movie falters with comedy/songs and a poorly written heroine, the mother-son bond delivers deep emotion to carry the film to the end.

Rajamouli has taken storytelling to new heights and it’s evident in the way he introduces you to the story and the characters. The brotherhood between Jr NTR & Ram Charan is something special, with both getting plenty of moments to shine. They have devoted their souls to this film.
