Any film directed by Christopher Nolan is going to be hotly anticipated, but his next project feels particularly special. With his latest film, Nolan will venture into a genre he has not yet attempted: the biopic. Oppenheimer is, of course, based on a true story and takes its material from a biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer(the father of the atomic bomb) titled American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.
Robert Downey Jr.
The plot closely follows the incredible story of J. Robert Oppenheimer who made a massive contribution to the invention of the atomic bomb and spearheaded the operation of the Manhattan Project during World War II. Murphy plays the lead role while Emily Blunt plays his wife Katherine.
Oppenheimer is made at a budget of $100 Million.
The makers dropped the trailer of this much-awaited movie on 19 December and Nolan fans all over the world are excited about it.
The film will hit theaters on July 21, 2023, and moviegoers can see it on standard and IMAX screens.
