Suriya is famous for his successful Tamil films, and the popular actor owns a huge fan following. Suriya won his first national award for Soorarari Pottru in 2022. Here are the upcoming movies of Suriya for the year 2023-2024.

1. Kanguva

Suriya has joined forces with director Siruthai Siva for a high-budget epic periodic drama, and the film has been tentatively titled ‘Suriya 42′. ‘Suriya 42’ is titled ‘Kanguva‘ and the title has been officially announced with an intriguing teaser. Apart from Suriya, the movie also stars Disha Patani. Reportedly, the film is being made on a budget of over Rs 200 crore, Which will be released pan-India and shooting is progressing briskly. The big news for Suriya fans is that the title and teaser of the film will be released on April 14 in Hyderabad in a massive event. The movie will be released in 10 languages.

2. Vaadivaasal

Vaadivaasal is a Tamil movie starring Suriya Sivakumar in a prominent role. It is a drama directed by Vetrimaaran. The first look of Vaadivasal was unveiled on the occasion of Suriya’s 45th birthday. The poster features a fiery-looking Suriya in a new look. Vetrimaaran revealed its character design look. The project, based on a popular Tamil novel of the same name written by CS Chellapa, marks the maiden collaboration of Suriya and filmmaker Vetrimaaran, best known for films such as Vada Chennai and Asuran.

3. Irumbu Kai Mayavi

With the success of Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Vikram’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj including Suriya’s cameo in the film, the fans are eagerly waiting for Suriya to join hands with the young director soon. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj in a recent interview on a YouTube portal confirmed that his project Irumbu Kaai Mayavi with Suriya in the lead was very much on. The film is expected to be a superhero film based on the comic book The Steel Claw, which follows the life of a superhero who tackles criminals with his metal hand.
