John Wick Chapter 4 Review
Keanu is an extremely underrated martial artist and actor for his disciplined techniques. He definitely deserves all the praise for his stunts as well. Mr. Wick has surely come a long way since losing his dog & wife in the first film. Keanu was great as always here but Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, and Donnie Yen are great highlights giving their scenes such a sense of care and fury when needed. The action choreography utilizes 100% of each and every set design used in the film to incorporate drama, thrill and also comedy. This movie has everything you could ever ask for – guns, knives, nunchucks, katanas, martial arts, cars, flamethrowers, bare hands, etc. However, that’s not to say that the film just packs incredible action. It also portrays great emotion in the characters we see. The dialogue displayed, as well as the tension created in the drama and scenes where John Wick isn’t obliterating everyone are also really well done. The writers also make sure to give each character their own time and establishment and personality and to establish the relationships between each character and how they feel about one another so that every actor and their portrayal gets their due, so you are actually invested in the characters and what they’re doing and what part they play in the story.
Compared to its previous installments, John Wick Chapter 4 is way better in all aspects including direction, screenplay, camera work, editing and music. Everything about JW4 is just overwhelmingly unbelievable.
