Fast X Movie: Cast, Budget, Story, Trailer, Release Date & More

Fast & Furious 10, officially titled Fast X, is an upcoming American action film directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau. The Fast and Furious franchise has reached its tenth installment with Fast X on the way and there are plenty of new details to look at. The movie sees the return of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his extended family back for more vehicular mayhem.

Cast

While the final cast list for the movie hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans can expect most of the principal cast to return. That includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jason Momoa, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, John Cena, Jason Statham, Sung Kang, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno. Fast X promises to maintain the reputation of previous films, with old and new characters set to feature in the new entry.

Story

It’s difficult to say what the storyline for Fast X will be at the moment. The first trailer provided a lot of details on the story for Fast X. Based on the trailer, it looks like Jason Momoa – whose character’s name hasn’t been revealed yet – is out for revenge after Dom and Brian stole an entire safe in Fast Five and Momoa’s future (as in cash), whilst also killing his family in the process.

Budget

The reported budget for Fast X is over $340 million, which could indicate that some large additions are coming to the long-running franchise.

Trailer

The first trailer for Fast X has been released as part of the Super Bowl trailer. The footage dives into the story, revealing a connection between Jason Momoa’s new villain and Fast Five.

Release Date

The initial release date was announced as April 2, 2021. However, F9 ended up being delayed considerably due to the COVID-19 pandemic which meant the tenth movie would be pushed back indefinitely. Vin Diesel later announced a possible February 2023 release which was then officially set for May 19, 2023.
